Welcome to SacramentoAnime.com
The goal of this site is to become the
connecting force for all anime fans all over the Sacramento area. SacramentoAnime.com
is associated with Anime Sacramento, Sac's very first anime club founded in
1984! Both clubs work together for everyone's benefit. SacAnime is also sponsered
in part by Wirehed Magazine
SacAnime screenings are held the second Saturday of odd-numbered months along with Anime
Sacramento, unless posted otherwise by Ian on the mailing list. Want to come to a screening?
Join the mailing list to find out the where and how of everything.

I ran really late with the most recent newsletter. I sincerely apologize
for this.
I was not able to make the last meeeting, though this time, it looks
like a go. This time, I hope to show you some material I personally have
been involved in myself, Oyasumi Subs' releases of Pani Poni Dash! and
their most recent series premiere, Black Cat. I joined Oyasumi Subs in
late September as an editor and am thoroughly enjoying the process. Not
to mention, doing this gives me an opportunity to give back to the
fansubbing community in a material way beyond just seedig torrents.
Thanks to all the groups who've helped to foster my love of anime!

I ran a bit late with the most recent newsletter, but it's up!
Sacramento Anime will be at the Sacramento Anime & Manga Show event at
Sunrise Mall this coming weekend. The lineup of what will be show is
here. Hope to
see you there!

I finally got around to putting up the most recent newsletter on the site.
My apologies for the delay.
Just a heads-up, there will be NO anime screening at Laurine's place in
July. However, there WILL be anime screenage at StarstruckCon on July 9th at
the Scottish Rite Temple. More details to come about the screenage at the
con, so stay tuned!
Also, if you find yourself in the Fresno area, be sure to check out Fresno Anime's screenings at the Fresno Art Museum in the Bonner
Auditorium. I handle those screenings as well, so I hope to see you
there if you are in the area!

I have received Laurine's most recent newsletter and have posted it to the
site.
Just a reminder: This month's screening is at Laurine White's house.
There are directions and contact information in the newsletter.
Hope to see you there!

Due to some other things which have come up, I have to cancel this month's
screening.
However, the good news is that we have a venue for March. March's
screening will be a joint venture with Anime Sacramento's Laurine White.
Thanks, Laurine, for teaming up!

As of right now, Feburary's screening is in jeopardy due to a lack of
venue. If anyone has any suggestion for a screening venue, especially one
with decent A/V gear, that we can use right now, or better still, more
regularly, please contact me at sacanime(at)ian(hyphen)justman(point)com.
Furthermore, since I already have an event scheduled for March 26, the
normal day of the month for screenings, I will be moving the screening
ahead a week, March 19. I still need a venue for that. Again, please
contact me with any suggestions.

We had a pretty decently-sized crowd for a Roseville location. We watched
the next five episodes of Bleach (6-10), though we never got around to
watching more My-HiME. However, we did watch the Sayuki Requiem movie as
well as an episode of Rozen Maiden and the first two of Xenosaga the
Animation.
A big thanks to Anusha and her family for hosting us this month!

I did a spot of reorganizing the site since it was becoming a bit of a
mess to deal with. Not to mention, since Nicky has passed the torch on to
me, I figured I needed to make a few mimor corrections as well. No sense
in mailng her when she has no active part in the club's operations
anymore. But we still think about ya, Nicky!

Happy New Year, everyone!
A few changes coming ahead. If you are seeing this, the website has
successfully migrated to my server. I will be likely doing some overhaul
work on the site before long, so keep a sharp eye out!
The mailing lists will be the next to be transferred over, though this will
take time. Once completed, this should alleviate the delays between users'
submission to the lists and their actual appearance on the list I've heard
some people mention about lately.
If you are on the list and you see any random chatter from me, it might be
me making sure the mailing list is working properly. I'd like to
apologize in advance for any screwiness during the migration.
