ANIME SACRAMENTO NEWSLETTER JUNE - JULY 2005
Welcome to the June - July 2005 Anime Sacramento Newsletter. Meetings of Anime Sacramento are bi-monthly, usually on the 2nd Saturday of the odd-numbered months at the private residence of Laurine White, Sacramento, California. Showings are non-smoking, non-alcoholic, and kid-friendly, when kids are here. The house has plenty of on-street parking in front, is 5 minutes walk from a supermarket and from the Bus 1 route, 10-minute drive from A1 Comics and diverse cuisine restaurants. The house has a cat. There's usually no set schedule; it's a social event. Email the editor (me) at LVBwhite@concourse.net for info and directions. (Please put Subject line something like "Attention Laurine", or it might get accidentally deleted with all the !@#$%&* spam. Fill in the subject line, and not with "Hi"!) I enjoy trading non-commercial Japanese-language anime tapes, and do limited freebie-dupes of same. E-mail me about trading tapes and some stuff I have for sale.
Next meeting will be on the 2nd Saturday in August, August 13, from 1pm to 10pm, and will probably be combined with the Sacramento Anime screening. Thank you kind folks who brought munchies in May, cookies, canned sodas, chips & other goodies. Some sodas, chips, & Japanese snacks will be on hand for August. Dinner break is 7-8pm (or whenever). Maybe we can check out the good Indian restaurant at the corner of Greenback & Auburn. Any anime requests?
September meeting will be 3rd Saturday in September, Sept 17. I'd like to run some giant robot episodes, HK and samurai films, and Bride & Prejudice. Or you can bring your favorite new anime DVDs to share. This house has 2 anime rooms. Any anime requests?
